Some New Cards To Post

This is the start of my christmas card. Actually there's not much more I need to do to it, maybe add an element or two to make it really pop. I used Baja Breeze and Chocolate chip for the main colors with the Snow Jumbo wheel. I'm really in a Chocolate Chip phase. And I used the Crystal Effects mixed with Dazzling Diamonds for the icicles. The photo doesn't do them justice. It's really pretty.
This is card I made with the Bronc Buster set, I used Red Riding Hood and chocolate chip for the colors. Jumbo eyelets, I think they're retired now, maybe! Chocolate chip and white grosgrain ribbon. Really easy to do, I didn't think I'd like this set as much as I do!
This is a card I made awhile ago. Very simple, as you can see, but I love the effect. The set is Garden Whimsy. I just stamped the images in Versamark then took a cotton ball to the Stampin' Pastels and filled them in how I liked. I did accidentally smudge the saying, but overall I think it turned out okay for a one layer card.

Christmas Cards

Well, I'm working on my Christmas cards right now, and I'm having a blast. I chose to make them simple, hopefully beautifully simple. I think they are simple, yet still pretty. I'll post a picture as soon as I have them completely finished. I used Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze, and I now have a favorite way to use Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I mixed it into the Crystal Effects and it turned out beautifully!

I feel ticked pink that my cards are actually almost finished. I just need some more ribbon to finish them off!

I added a link

Since I haven't gotten the time to upload new pictures over the last week or two I thought I'd write you a little post to let you be in on a blog that I like to visit occasionally. Shelli Gardiner is the founder of Stampin' Up!, and she started a new blog a few months ago. I love to go online and see what she's doing. Sometimes she has the greatest little projects online. Not only that, but usually she has step by step pictures that walk you through making the projects. So helpful!

If you get a few minutes check out her page. Little by little I'll add other blogs that I check out regularly for ideas. If you like to stamp check them out. And it's okay to case other people's projects. Most of us don't mind at all!

Okay, that being said, I'll post the link to her blog in my links, and here's her website in this post too.

Yet another of my many little nature walks. I took this one with Frankie also, but he wasn't in the mood to get his picture taken, yet again! I'm still just trying to get the hang of using this camera to its fullest. I'm hoping one day to get a digital SLR and really go hog wild! Can you imagine how many pictures I would have!

My Little Nature Walk

I love to experiment with my digital camera. I know that it can do more than just point and shoot, but I'm not quite sure how to get there. So I keep waiting for sunny days to take little walks out on our property and see what kinds of pictures I can get.

I have another slew of them that I just took, a little more fall related, with pine cones and other stuff. I'll try to remember to load them onto the blog. I also have several other cards that I can load too.

Other than crafty stuff, and nature walks, things are great! I'm still loving my job. It is really, really beautiful out here. However, winter is coming. The other morning it took almost ten minutes for my car to defrost. I need to remember to bring my camera to work with me. The pelicans are out in force today, apparently this time of year usually finds them further south than Garibaldi. We're trying to figure out if that means the weather will stay warm for a little longer, or if it just means that there is bait out in the bay.

Well, goodbye for now. I'll try to remember to post more over the weekend! I am not lacking for things to post. I just need to buckle down and do it!

I hope you can read this!
My co-worker was having a rough day, so I tried to lighten the mood a little. I think I had more fun with it than he did.
I'm pretty sure I popped 3/4 of the bubbles!

This card is using the Fresh Cute notecards using the Essence of Love stamp set, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip ink, and Urban Garden Designer Paper. I LOVE this card! It was incredibly easy, and I had it put together in just a couple of minutes!

This card is using Dreams De Jour stamp set, some of the Bella Rose Designer Papers, and Red Riding Hood paper and ink with White grosgrain ribbon... I like this one too.. :)

This set is using Essence of Love on Red Riding Hood and Chocolate Chip papers, Chocolate Chip Ink, and matching ribbons
I just love this Inspired by Nature set, it is just so easy. I know its a little trippy, but it's just on Whisper White, using Night of Navy and Kiwi Kiss ink, and using the Urban Garden Designer Paper... Ooh... That paper is just wonderful!!!

An Older Christmas Card

This card was made using Festive Favorites, Always Artichoke, Real Red, and Close to Cocoa papers, and the pastels... I just love this card! Oh, and Dazzling Diamonds!

An Easy Peice of Art

I used the Inspired by Nature stamp set that came out in the new Fall/Winter 2008 Idea book and Catalog.
I stamped the image in Kiwi Kiss, onto Kiwi Kiss cardstock, then stamped the saying in Night of Navy onto Whisper White cardstock. I used the Urban Garden DSP for the back of the Whisper White. I found a frame with matting already inside of it. It was just a frame at Freddy's for $14.99. As long as you have the set it's a wonderfully inexpensive peice of art!
It went so well together that my hubby actually wanted to hang it in our bedroom! So that's where it is!

Decor Elements Around A Door

At our workshop last weekend we tried out the new Decor Elements, it was a huge hit! So I'm going to add a picture of the finished product. They were so easy to put up and they're easy to take down too!

Such a Stampin' Day!

Well, I've tried this format before for my customers and stampin' friends, but we'll see if it works this time. I'd really like an outlet to be able to share the fun things I've been doing. I had a great workshop over the weekend, I'll try to get some pictures of our projects up on this blog in the next couple days.

Please feel free to leave comments or questions about projects. If there's something you'd like to see, let me know.
